A themed cycling event took place here <strong data-start=\"545\" data-end=\"584\">\u201eA cycle trip to where the tracks have vanished\u201c<\/strong>, which combined sport, history and natural heritage into a unique experience for all age groups.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"377\" data-end=\"690\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.regionsaris.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/20251025_110956-scaled.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-34059 alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/oocr.bigway.dev\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/20251025_110956-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"739\" height=\"554\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"692\" data-end=\"1149\">The participants completed <strong data-start=\"714\" data-end=\"762\">an easy route approximately 14 kilometres long<\/strong>, which followed in the footsteps of the former <strong data-start=\"799\" data-end=\"829\">The Slansk\u00e1 Forest Railway<\/strong> \u2013 a technical monument which, in the past, played a significant role in the transport of timber and goods between Solivar and the Slansk\u00e9 Hills. Today, these places are taking on a new dimension \u2013 instead of rumbling trains, they are now home to <strong data-start=\"1041\" data-end=\"1063\">peaceful cycle routes<\/strong>, which invite you to explore the region at a leisurely pace, with respect for both nature and history.\n\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.regionsaris.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/20251025_095554-scaled.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-34063 alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/oocr.bigway.dev\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/20251025_095554-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"733\" height=\"550\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"692\" data-end=\"1149\"><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1151\" data-end=\"1563\">The aim of the event was <strong data-start=\"1173\" data-end=\"1230\">to support the development of tourism in the Slansk\u00e9 vrchy sub-destination<\/strong> through active leisure activities and experiential exploration of the area. During the trip, cyclists were able to listen to <strong data-start=\"1364\" data-end=\"1438\">stories about the history of Solivar, the forest railway and the canal<\/strong>, but also to interesting <strong data-start=\"1462\" data-end=\"1560\">lectures on the development of cycle tourism, recreational opportunities and the sustainable development of the region<\/strong>.\n\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.regionsaris.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/20251025_132814-scaled.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-34091 alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/oocr.bigway.dev\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/20251025_132814-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"740\" height=\"555\" \/><\/a>\n\n<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1565\" data-end=\"1871\">The event was held in <strong data-start=\"1587\" data-end=\"1625\">a friendly and community-oriented atmosphere<\/strong>, where enthusiasts of cycling, nature and regional history came together. Participants took away not only a sporting experience, but also inspiration \u2013 that even <strong data-start=\"1768\" data-end=\"1810\">Disused railway lines can be given a new lease of life<\/strong> as modern cycle routes linking the past with the future.\n\n<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1565\" data-end=\"1871\"><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1565\" data-end=\"1871\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.regionsaris.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/20251025_1144190-scaled.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-34083 alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/oocr.bigway.dev\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/20251025_1144190-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"751\" height=\"563\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1873\" data-end=\"2292\">The cycle route is part of <strong data-start=\"1903\" data-end=\"1931\">The Slansk\u00e1 Cycle Route<\/strong>, which continues on to the village of \u010cervenica.
