Usudzuje sa, \u017ee n\u00e1zov obce poch\u00e1dza od jej prv\u00e9ho majite\u013ea alebo velite\u013ea; pou\u017e\u00edvan\u00e9 boli varianty Marg\u00f3n, Marg\u00f3na, Margala. Obec v priebehu st\u00e1ro\u010d\u00ed patrila r\u00f4znym \u0161\u013eachtick\u00fdm rodom \u2013 od Abovcov cez So\u00f3sovcov a \u010fal\u0161\u00edch a\u017e po Dessewffyovcov. V obci boli p\u00f4vodne dva ka\u0161tiele, nov\u0161\u00ed z nich v\u0161ak nebol nikdy ob\u00fdvan\u00fd. Star\u0161\u00ed ka\u0161tie\u013e dal v 30. rokoch 19. storo\u010dia postavi\u0165 Andrej Dessewffy mlad\u0161\u00ed. Z tejto rodiny je sn\u00e1\u010f najzn\u00e1mej\u0161\u00ed <strong>Arisztid Dessewffy<\/strong> \u2013 syn Ga\u0161para, ktor\u00fd bol v r. 1848 honv\u00e9dskym gener\u00e1lom, ale bol vojensk\u00fdm s\u00fadom ods\u00faden\u00fd a 6.9.1849 popraven\u00fd v Arabe. Jeho telesn\u00e9 pozostatky boli dovezen\u00e9 do tunaj\u0161ej hrobky.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Klasicistick\u00fd ka\u0161tie\u013e s retardovan\u00fdmi rokokov\u00fdmi prvkami je dvojpodla\u017enou blokovou stavbou. Stoj\u00ed takpovediac v strede obce v jednej z bo\u010dn\u00fdch uli\u010diek, vidite\u013en\u00fd z hlavnej cesty.
